|
Although Androsia has a
new Owner, be assured that the quality of food and service is as
good as ever and follows in the footsteps of its history as
reprinted below. |

A while back, Androsia's owner
Betty Von Hamm opened the door for an arriving guest. It was a big man. And with
out-stretched arms he exclaimed:
"I don't know if it's your
telephone or mine but I can't get through! Have you got room for me?"
With Betty's gleeful assurance
he shepherded his guests into the cozy restaurant. It was no less than Sean Connery 007,
larger than life, back at his favorite roost, ready to tuck into his favorite Pepper Steak
au Paris or Chef von Hamm's glorious Duckling Au Curacao .
From a man who can have the best
the world can offer, this greeting was quite a compliment. Connery also knows Nassau well.
Yet, like clockwork, 10 days later, he was back at Androsia again.
Although Connery is Androsia's
most frequent star, he is not alone. There's Michael Caine and Julio Iglesias. And when
Julio last walked through the door unannounced, the music playing was his.
The decor is neither macho nor
glitz. Instead, you'll find an inviting marine motif with an unpretentious island charm.
If any one thing, Androsia's
distinguishing secret (agent) is the food.
As for service, just grab a few
Ministry of Tourism survey cards;
'Very Attentive, Great Attitude,
Very Professional.' 'The best service we've had. Quality food. Good Selection."
Whether you're on Paradise
Island or on Cable Beach, Androsia is well worth a visit for that special occasion. Dress
smart or casual. Reservations are preferred. T: 327-7805
